WP-2 Welding positioner. This positioner has a trunnion pivot design with screw tilt control and a 13 inch steel table. This allows heavier loads of approximately 200 pounds centered in the horizontal. This unit has a 2" center hole, cast iron foot pedal, double sealed twin ball bearings, enclosed gearing, and our unique Constant Current Contact, which is spring loaded for long life. Tilt of the table is infinitely variable from 0-90 degrees. Motor is available in 0-4 RPM or 0-8 RPM (additional cost). Motor is a 90 volt DC PM gearmotor and control uses standard 115 volt AC power, insulated and isolated for H.F TIG welding. Chuck options include a standard 8" 3-jaw universal chuck or our Speed Wheel production chuck.
This positioner is different in many good ways, but here are three HUGE differences.
1. Tubular construction, this insures the machined secondary gearing is aligned for long service.
2. Total 360 degree enclosure of the precision secondary gearing keeps grinding dust, weld spatter and fingers out of the pinch points.
3. Twin, not one but TWO precision SEALED ball bearings, that distribute the load and still deliver smooth rotation.
