Here are several photos of the AC Precision welding positioner, model WP-14. This is a nice low speed unit, approximately 0-4 RPM, also available in 0-8 RPM model. This unit is Heavy duty steel tubular construction, with a big 2" through hole allows for tube or pipe to go through the large center table.
It is also variable speed with forward and reverse foot pedal control. Portable, 115 volt AC with a slick built in carrying handle. No problem with High Frequency or TIG or MIG welding, it works GREAT. Overall, a great price for lots of features in an American made quality postioner.
This positioner is different in many good ways, but here are three HUGE differences.
1. Tubular construction, this insures the machined secondary gearing is aligned for long service.
2. Total 360 degree enclosure of the precision secondary gearing keeps grinding dust, weld spatter and fingers out of the pinch points.
3. Twin, not one but TWO precision SEALED ball bearings, that distribute the load and still deliver smooth rotation.
